On June 21st, head over to Park Slope where dozens of accordion players will congregate at the
Old Stone House in J.J. Byrne Park. Composer Bob Goldberg will call for musicians to create an “Accordion Forest”, filling the park with the sound of accordions, and then premiere a new work with the 12-piece Famous Accordion Orchestra.
Following after, the Main Squeeze Orchestra, the 14-piece, all-female, all-accordion group created by Walter Kühr, will lead the accordions and audiences in a lineup of favorite play-alongs for all to join, culminating in a parade complete with flag bearers in color guard formation. A “Mass Appeal” event not to be missed!
